I am the host of the only Filipino variety show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Oras Ng Ligaya" (Hour of Happiness) broadcasts every SUNDAY from 3 PM to 4 PM during college
football season and will return to Saturdays from 11am-12pm..
The show is in English to reach the diverse mainstream of the Las Vegas community. My sincere
devotion to serve the local community has prompted me to establish my radio variety talk show to
serve as the information center for all Asian Pacific American residents of Las Vegas. We
broadcast local & international events & news, medical and dental tips, immigration updates
and other pertinent information that are of benefit to the community of Las Vegas and to the world
listeners of the program.
I invite people of different professions to share updates on different issues that are of interest
and significant to be shared by all listeners. In the past I have interviewed lawyers, school
counselors, social security administrators, celebrities, politicians, realtors, business entrepreneurs
local organizations, such as "Bamboo Bridges" against "Abuse", "Angelman syndrome" , Catanduanes
Las Vegas Chapter for medical missions, just to name a few.
I have volunteered my time to work with the Census 2010 and have worked with the Clark County
Election Department to bring about awareness of the importance of an American right to vote.
I advocate community service so much that my affiliation with the Lions International for the past
4 years has been a self motivator to me. Serving as District 46 Region 4 Chair of Lions Southern
Nevada has inspired me to furtherance my community service through my radio show.
I open and end the show with English music of Filipino Artists because I sincerely believed in the
power of music. Artists express their message & love through their music and helps to refresh the
mind into a relaxation mode.
Last, but not least, my experience for 22 years in the management field of the banking industry has
instilled a joy and excitement of public interactions and through my radio broadcasting, I somehow
have been able to relive those happy moments.
